We are having much happiness lately.
Can't you tell?
OK - so, it was less than 40 degrees, the fish were NOT biting, the wind was blowing and his parents had slightly forgotten that fishing trip would overlap with dinner time and were under-prepared (apparently even "red chips" don't cut it when you're starving).
And mom kept taking pictures.
Still, it was our first chance to go out in our new boat! Luke and his dad bought a little fishing boat together. Each trip out has been a learning experience (leaks, dead batteries, no food for the three-year-old), but it seems to have been worth it.
Ty's Halloween wishes vacillated between a robot and a football player. The psycho right-brained side of me really wanted to try creating a robot costume, but he made a firm decision the few weeks before and my hopes were dashed. It's OK. I'm over it. Almost.
His two little cousins (Ryker the cow and Rigden the chicken) came over and did the route around our block with us. They were troopers - all dressed up, being dragged around outside and they didn't even get to eat the candy.
I know I still owe you mutton bustin' pictures and probably a lot of other things. We'll save all that for my next post. In two months.
