On to the Fourth of July. We went to the Kaysville parade again this year and totally made it out of there in time to miss the town water fight. I found my heart rate increasing as the parade neared its end and I saw grown men in swimsuits and rashguard shirts dragging garbage cans full of water to the sidewalk and manning their positions ON TOP OF BUILDINGS along Main Street. I was pretty sure we were gonna die - or just get soaked - but we didn't because we were literally RUNNING to our car (it also may have been raining...maybe that's why we were running...I can't remember...it was stressful).

Sister and her fiance - they were officially engaged the day before the Fourth...so that would be the third.

Ty and Grandma are parade pros - she's very good at getting attention and therefore any type of swag and he's quick and sneaky. Ty decided he needed to explore the other side of parading and that we would have our own parade when we got home. He and Grandma loaded up the wagon and we set up our chairs on the parade route.

After three or four passes, the wagon full of ramen noodles, bead necklaces and fruit snacks was empty and our laps were full. Best parade ever.
